6 Ways to Make Money Getting Fit

Side hustles, how to get paid working out, making money from home, work at home jobs, flexible work at home job

I know some of you are fitness junkies, so what if I told you, you could get paid for working out. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Of course it would. You don’t have to live near a gym, or have a gym membership to get paid to work out. Plus, you can work out if/when you choose too.

Are you ready to make money working out? If so, here are a few of your options.

GymPact

Love betting? If so, it is time to put your money where your mouth is! GymPact is all about keeping track of your fitness goals (what you decide they should be) and rewarding you when you meet them, but also penalizing you when you don’t meet them.

Basically, if you reach your weekly goals, you will receive a small amount of money. From what I’ve seen it could be anywhere from $0.30 to about $5 a week, which you can use to cashout to PayPal once you have $10 in your account. However, if you want your money now, and don’t have the $10, you can still cash out, but you will be charged a small fee.

GymPact is available on Android and iPhone. Also, verification, such as photos and GPS are required to make sure you are really working out when you say you were.

Diet Bet

Diet Bet is a little bit different than the two mentioned above. Diet Bet has two different challenges for you to complete. The first challenge is called the Kickstarter. The Kickstarter challenge lasts for four weeks where your goal is to lose 4 percent of your body weight during that time. The second challenge is called the Transformer. The Transformer challenge lasts for six months where during this time your goal is to lose about 10 percent of your body weight.

So, if you surpass your goal, you will get the money you wagered back, plus some money from the non-winners pool. A typical wager for the Kickstarter is around $25-$30. Not to mention, if you win, you will get that money back, and on average, about $5 more from the non-winner pool.

Walgreens Balance Rewards

To apart of this program all you need to do is track your fitness, and you will be earning Balance Reward Points for Walgreens.

All you need to do is sign up on the Walgreens site and download the application to your phone. You can find the applications for Android and iOS in the appropriate app store. You will connect the Walgreens app with your fitness tracker, such as MapMyFitness or MyFitnessPal, or if you don’t have a fitness tracker, you can log your activity manually.

The more active you are, the more points you will earn. Your points will be converted into money that you can use when you shop at Walgreens, so essentially you can be funding your Walgreens addiction. However, there is a 1000 points cap a month.

Achievemint

Achievemint is a free program that rewards you not only for being healthy, but things you are already probably doing. It urges you to do things such as going to the gym, using your social media platform to promote healthy things, such as eating, working out, etc.

However, the program also has other ways to earn cash, such as taking online surveys or even participating in studies about health.

The Achievemint program is a little different than the others because over 30 apps connect to the program. So, if you use MyFitnessPal, MapMyRun, FitBit, and much more, they’ll sync your progress with Achievemint.

Achievemint uses the points system. 1,000 points is equivalent to $1. You can earn points for logging food, walking, taking surveys, and much more. When you earn $10 (10,000 points), you can cash in for an Amazon gift card.

Healthy Wage

Healthy Wage is only good for people who are really, really, and I mean REALLY determined to shed off some pounds.

With HealthyWage you are betting on how much weight you are going to lose. Essentially, you will give them your height, weight, and how much you plan on losing in a certain time frame, plus the amount you are placing on the table for the month. After you do that, Health Wage will then tell you how much you stand to win, if you succeed. Essentially, the more you bet, the more you can win; or the more you could lose if you don’t meet your goals.

Bounts

Now, if you are like me and you know putting the money where your mouth is, is just going to end up losing money. You want something simple, easy, and cost effective.

This is where Bounts comes in. Bounts is a free app (also has a premium side), but it connects to your other apps just like Achievemint does.

However, there is a catch. If you are cheap like me and just want to test the waters, there is a free version like a mentioned. However with this free version you are capped at 15 points a day. And to be able to cash out for a $5 gift card, you need 917 points. If you do the math correctly, that will take you 2 months to do.

However, this is where the premium version comes in. With the premium version, you get capped at 90 points per a day. Which will allow you to make your $5 gift card in a week rather than 2 months. The premium version costs $1.67 a month, so essentially the price of a bottle of coke.

With this, it would be more cost effective (in the long run) to upgrade to the premium version rather than stay on the free version.
