Brothers N.Y. Style Pizzeria: A Slice of New York Right in Your Neighborhood!
When I moved away from Southwest Florida at the end of 2015, I left everything I once knew. While it was a fun adventure when it came down to finding my “new” yummy restaurants, that would be an adventure I would be let down on again and again.
I love to get pizza on occasion. I mean, who doesn’t? Who doesn’t want a quick and easy dinner and not worry about cooking or cleaning?
This is where I was hunting for a great pizza place in Winter Haven, Florida.
Why Do Only Pizza Chains Only Deliver Now?
In my search for a great pizza place, I look for delivery. Why delivery? Because that’s what I am used to. When I think of a pizza night, I think of getting it delivered to my house, and I don’t have to lift a finger.
However, here in Winter Haven, Florida, pizza places seem not to deliver. You have to drive to pick up your pizza. Well, that was a foreign concept to me!
The only places delivered were the national pizza chains Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Papa Johns’s. WHAT? So, if I want gourmet pizza, do I need to go out and pick it up? How rude!
How Did I End Up At Brothers N.Y. Style Pizzeria?
You’re probably wondering how in the world did I end up at Brothers N.Y. Style Pizzeria if I don’t like to drive to get my pizza. It’s pretty simple; I do not live too far from Brothers N.Y. Style Pizzeria. If I had to drive, let’s start local to me, see how they are, and gradually drive further out if they are a dud.
What Does Brothers N.Y. Style Pizzeria Have to Offer?
Brothers N.Y. STyle Pizzeria offers pizza, calzones, pasta, salads, stromboli, and desserts. Anything you can think of that a standard (not a chain) pizza shop would offer.
Their prices are spot on for a regular pizza shop as well. They are the same price as Domino’s if you don’t have a coupon.
Is Brothers N.Y. Style Pizzeria Worth the Drive?
With that being said, is Brothers N.Y. Style Pizzeria worth the drive? Yes, they are. Like I previously said, if you didn’t have a coupon for Domino’s, this pizza place would cost you the same. However, their pizzas are much more significant, have better quality toppings, and are overall better.
If you pay by credit card, they add a “checkout” fee of 3.75%, which covers the transaction when paying at the counter. They have a small sign saying this, but it can be easily missed, which irritates most people once they realize this “hidden” fee.
I recommend stopping at an ATM and paying cash to avoid this fee if you pay when you pick up because it can add up if you purchase a couple of pizzas and sides.
Pro-Tip: If you want to forgo the fee together, I recommend ordering and paying online, as no “checkout” fee is associated with your order.
