Did the Norma Dan Supply a Free Full Breakfast?
When I was completing the check-in process the next morning after arriving after the lobby closed, I heard a lady say they had a free full breakfast. And I want to say, no. No, they do not.
It could be when I was there breakfast was not that full, but breakfast consisted of some bagels, Krispy Kreme donuts, and frozen waffles. There were no eggs, bacon, or sausage. Honestly, it was not worth going to the breakfast area. I would rather walk to Denny’s next door to get your breakfast fixed.
How Much Is the Norma Dan Motel?
When I booked my room for our first Tennessee trip last year, it was around $60. When I looked again for this year, the prices for the dates I went to Tennessee were around $80.
But, as of me writing this post (July 2020), you can find the Norma Dan Motel in the $50 range.
So, is the place affordable? Heck yes!
Amanda’s Candid Norma Dan Review
Well, mind you, this review of mine took place on our 2019 Tennessee trip. Before we get into my review, let’s note that the Norma Dan Motel comes in at a 4.5-star rating on Google.
Now that we’ve cleared that let’s get into what I thought of the hotel.
We got to the hotel late, like 2 am late. So, we had a late check-in. You should note their front desk does close at 11 pm. So if you will get to the hotel after that, please call.
The front desk people were just okay. They weren’t super friendly, but they were not rude. I didn’t realize that the front desk closed at 11, and the front desk clerk was a bit rude and asked if I still wanted the room even though she knew on her end my room was already fully paid for through Expedia.
Other than that, the hall smelt like mildew. I honestly do not know why it did, but it was what it was.
But when we came to the room, it was clean. It was great. It didn’t feel dirty at all. It also came equipped with your very own private balcony too. That was a huge plus!
The breakfast that they offered was lacking. It was some Krispy Kreme donuts and bagels. Other than that, they had some orange juice and milk, I believed. It was very underwhelming. I typically don’t eat breakfast, but my sister did, and she was highly disappointed.
However, they didn’t tell you the breakfast was in the building across from where you checked in, so keep that in mind.
Final Verdict
If you were to ask me if I were to stay there again, I would say yes. Besides everything, the hotel was clean, and that’s all I look for when I stay there. The breakfast or amenities do not matter to me as I am there to lay my head down and sleep at night.
