No Fire S’mores: A Simple (But Complete) Guide

S’mores are a treat that you have when you are camping. However, what happens when you want s’mores and have no bonfire available? Do you make them over your toaster? Or how about making them over your stove? This is where no fire s’mores come into play!

How Do You Make S’more’s If You Don’t Have a Fire?

One day I was in the middle of work, and I thought a nice S’more would be heavenly right now. As many of you already know, I live in an apartment. I don’t have a bonfire or grill, for that matter. How in the world am I going to make a S’more?!

That’s when Google comes in and saves your day! I found out that you can make them in the oven! No fire, s’mores, here we come!

All you’ll need is:

  • Graham Crackers
  • Chocolate
  • Marshmallows

I want to say this, making s’mores will not break the bank. They are inexpensive. I got the graham crackers for $1.33, the marshmallows were $0.96, and the chocolate was $1.97 at Wal-Mart.

So, for under $5, I was able to 12 s’mores! You can’t beat that! Whether you are making it for your satisfaction or you are making it for your family. This snack should be added to the rotation by how quick and cheap it truly is.

Were They As Good As Bonfire S’mores?

Yes! I believe they were just as good! The tip to making them perfect is watching them while cooking. If you don’t like your marshmallow to get too burnt, you’ll want to take them out sooner than later. If you like yours burnt, keep them until your desired doneness.

I can assure you that you have the graham cracker under your marshmallow. You do not need to add the chocolate to the broiler either. The chocolate will melt as soon as it touches your hot marshmallow.

Other Notable Ways to Roast Marshmallows Without a Campfire

I don’t know if it was just my neighborhood friends, but we would love roasting marshmallows as children. We found some creative ways to get our fix. We would roast marshmallows using a lit candle, over the microwave, or the stove burner.

While all of those options are great, if you are looking for a similar camp experience, I recommend using a lit candle. It will roast your marshmallow the quickest and easiest than the other options we’ve used as children.
