I wanted to start with something super easy yet delicious; Crockpot Pork Chops with Cream Herb Sauce. I know time and money is a factor in many households, so this recipe will end up being a weekly staple in your household.

Now, I am not a huge crockpot user. Well, this is my first time using a crockpot, to be honest. *gasp* Yes, I have never touched a crockpot until this recipe! When making my menu, I decided that since I usually work through dinner, I wanted to make a few crockpot meals because I wanted to grab my food once when I was on my lunch. Well, here is the first-ever crockpot recipe I did. 

I decided to try out this recipe because I love pork chops, and the creamy herb sauce sounded amazing, especially when adding them to mashed potatoes. Not to mention, I had most of the ingredients to start with, so making this recipe only cost me about $6 or so altogether.

  • olive oil
  • butter
  • small yellow onion
  • garlic
  • dried thyme
  • salt
  • dried mustard powder
  • pepper
  • chicken broth
  • heavy cream
  • cornstarch
  • freeze-dried parsley
  • freeze-dried basil

How Did It Turn Out?

Not bad, right? It is spices, which most of us have, and if not, you can always use the spices you have on hand because it is mainly used to season your meat. As for the pork chops, I used some assorted cut pork chops. I find those to be the best pork chops one can have, not to mention, they are cheaper than the center cut too.  The instructions were pretty simple, and pretty easy prep to follow.
