How to Make Spicy Kielbasa Pasta That Will Blow Your Mind
I know, I know, it has been a looooong while since I’ve done a recipe review. It seems like I eat the food before I take a photo of it. Darn. If there are no pictures, then that delicious meal never happened. If you haven’t followed along with my measly little recipe section, you may want to check it out. Spicy Kielbasa Pasta
Okay, you better bookmark those because they are pretty amazing. Luckily, I have a recipe for you today, which was amazing. I made it last night and still have over half left, so do you know what that means? Leftover Sunday! Yum! Anyway, I found the recipe from a fellow blogger, Domesticed Wild Child a few days ago, and I just had to make it. Now, before I begin, I want to add one thing, I did change this recipe up a little bit because, well, I do that at times, so the way it says to make it and the way I made it are two different things, but essentially the same type of meal.
What Do You Need?
This meal was known as the Spicy Kielbasa Pasta. If you love Kielbasa and pasta, you will love this combination. These ingredients can be found in your pantry because it is nothing too fancy. The only thing you may or may not need to get is the Kielbasa. Nonetheless, here are the ingredients you will need:
- olive oil
- Kielbasa
- white onion
- Garlic cloves
- chicken broth
- Rotel Tomatoes and Chiles
- milk
- Penne pasta
- Jack Cheddar Cheese
- Salt and Pepper
You should have mostly all the ingredients, making for a cheap yet delicious meal. When you are a college student, and money is an issue, you learn how to use your resources and cook from that.
What I Would Change To Spicy Kielbasa Pasta?
So, this is where I start changing some things. Instead of Kielbasa, I decided to use mild Italian sausage. I left out the onions because, quite frankly, I wouldn’t say I like onions. I also didn’t have enough chicken broth, so I added more milk than the recipe.
As you can see, the instructions have nothing to them, so even a beginner can easily execute this with little to no effort. Overall, this recipe is perfect, it is not too spicy either. If you have pasta lovers and Kielbasa or sausage lovers in your family, they will eat this right up! It makes a huge family portion, so there will always be leftovers to make. This meal cost me around $7 to make for a family of two, but I have another two meals left. Honestly, this is the one for you if you want a cheap meal.
